Patten introduces legislation to force religious hospitals to perform abortions and euthanasia

BREAKING: Reason Party leader Fiona Patten plans to introduce legislation to force religious hospitals to perform abortions and euthanasia. Religious hospitals object to providing certain services which are in conflict with their moral values.

Patten claims that all hospitals receiving any type of public support should not be able to refuse these services, and the legislation therefore would protect fundamental human rights.

Patten’s claim that publicly funded institutions should protect fundamental human rights by not discriminating against people seems at odds with her previous positions in supporting discrimination by the same institutions against unvaccinated Victorians.
