Victorian Employers Can Now Enforce & Implement Their Own Vaccination Policies

Andrews government gives Victorian employers the ability to enforce & “implement their own vaccination policies, to collect and hold Covid-19 vaccination information of their workers.” via regulatory changes that will last until mid July 2023.

The regulations seem to allow employers to gather vaccination status even if it’s not a condition of employment, in the event they need to use that information in the future.

The onus on employers is framed around OH&S considerations even though the government says employers have a choice.

These new regulations come weeks after the government dropped most of their own government mandated vaccine requirements.
